Member, Norwalk Common Council

A native of Norwalk, Connecticut, Amanda graduated high school from Brien McMahon and college from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. She is the mother of two children, ages 15 & 9. She has worked in both the private and government sector and currently works for Time Warner Cable as a Litigation Paralegal. Active in her local community, Amanda serves as a board member for both the Cornerstone Community Development Corporation and Macedonia Church, Inc., and gives her time as both a board member and volunteer for the Macedonia AIDS Ministry, Inc. Other activities include her involvement as a member of the Norwalk Chapter of the NAACP, a youth advocate and worker for urban city events.

She holds an At-Large Common Council Seat for District A in the City of Norwalk. Some of her interest and concerns include: making and supporting policy for Work Force and Affordable Housing, implementing programs that foster youth activities while deterring crime and addressing the serious issues concerning the deterioration of the City's infrastructure (i.e. roads, storm drains, bridges, etc.).

Amanda's fine interpersonal skills enable her to listen and understand the heart of the community she serves. Her legal work experience allows her to bring the best of her problem solving skills to this position. Finally, civil service within the City of Stamford as a Paralegal and at the Town of Westport as the First Selectwoman and Town Attorney Secretary have provided her with a unique, internal knowledge of government operations. She is a great asset to the City of Norwalk and its Common Council.
