Alex Knopp
Former Mayor of Norwalk Elected in an overwhelming victory in 2001 and again in 2003, Alex served two terms as Mayor of Norwalk. As State Representative Alex Knopp (D-137), represented Norwalk in the General Assembly from 1987 to 2001. He served as House Chairman of the Government Administration and Elections Committee, with jurisdiction over the state's election laws, campaign finance reform, the state ethics code, governmental reorganization, information technology, etc. He was a senior member of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee.
