Michael Coffey Re-Elected to 2nd Term as Council President
by Mike Coffey Nov. 17, 2006 Michael W. Coffey, President of the Common Council has been re-elected to a 2nd consecutive term as the Common Council President. He was re-elected in a unanimous 10-0 bipartisan vote of 5 democrats and 5 republicans. There has been no Common Council member to have been elected to two consecutive terms in over 30 years in the City of Norwalk. "In Norwalk we have an uncommon council that puts progress ahead of partisanship and look first and foremost to representing the interests of all Norwalkers in a bi-partisan matter," Coffey stated.
