Speaker Amann Promotes Rep. Perone To Vice Chair Of Finance Committee

Speaker of the House James Amann (D-Milford) today announced that State Representative Chris Perone (D-Norwalk) has been named Vice Chair of the legislature's Finance Committee. The committee oversees all matters relating to finance, revenue, capital bonding, fees and taxation.

Speaker Amann said, "I am proud to appoint Chris as Vice Chair of the Finance committee because he possesses the legislative knowledge and temperament for this leadership position. In only his first term he has impressed his colleagues by his commitment and ability to work with many people. He is a tremendous asset to our caucus and we look forward to a productive session."

"It is an honor to be appointed by Speaker Amann to serve as Vice Chair of this key committee." Rep. Perone said. "I'm looking forward to working with my colleagues to help shape policy that will improve the lives of the citizens of my district and of Connecticut."

Rep. Perone has also been appointed to serve on the Environment and Transportation Committees. He will begin serving his second term in the General Assembly on Wednesday, January 3. Key issues facing the 137th district are education, tax relief, and protecting senior citizens.
